So here it is barely past 8pm on Halloween, and we are officially out of candy.
Yup, so sad.
In our defense this *is* a new neighborhood. Our old neighborhood (which is just up the street) had next to zilch when it came to trick-or-treaters. So my fiancee only bought 2 bags of candy this year.
Yeah, well that lasted about an hour. We feel like such dorks. We had to turn off all the lights and cool fog machine and pumpkins and everything!
I guess we know for next year.
Annoying thing though....when I was little a dark house meant no candy. What's with the 14 year old girls dressed as "nerds" (the geeks not the candy) come by and ring the bell?! WTF?
Another cool note, and yes I mean SUPERNOTE!! I submitted my very first Youtube video response tonight. And it was to help Team Beard win the Supernote. Granted mine was only like 21 seconds. I'm still very excited that I got to do that.
Kinda makes me wanna do other videos. But I don't have the time, software, or creativity to make it worthwhile for anyone to view and enjoy....like anyone will view or enjoy this blog.
Which is another thing. 20 years ago, no one cared who was at Starbucks at what time drinking non fat whatevers with foam. Now it's like we have to read about it instantly on Facebook, see the reaction on the blog, watch the re-enactment on Youtube, and then see the aftermath pics on Dailybooth.
Where are we going to on this crazy ship? Probably to the restaurant at the end of the universe...anyone feeling peckish?
